If you haven't seen the U of F taser incident video yet, you really must spend the 3 minutes and get up to date. Sure, the guy was a grandstanding painintheass, but once the arrest began, I am horrified that the students in the room didn't leap to their feet and act.

This is another disturbing incident caught on video with campus police using tasers indiscriminately.
I was shocked at the harsh reaction of the police. Sure, let him blow his hot air for two minutes, then tell him to clear out, or face arrest. If something like that would never happen at Cal, because the police there know that it's counterproductive to antagonize every crazy student they come across.
As far as I could tell in the video, they just sacked him without giving him a warning, and started tasing him. Really brutal.
As for the students? The banality of evil. It's amazing what injustice or evil one will tolerate/ignore if it's just ratcheted up ever so gradually...
I gotta agree with that oyster.
